Business Development Manager

Job Responsibility

  1. Lead commercial strategy for the assigned brand, ensuring all quotations, customer enquiries, and Sales Order Confirmations (SOC) are commercially sound, competitive, and aligned with margin and risk objectives.
  2. Own and manage all buyer relationships while driving initiatives that support revenue growth, brand development, and customer retention.
  3. Provide direction to the merchandising team on product strategy, target pricing, T&A expectations, and supplier management.
  4. Translate market intelligence, competitive insights, and fashion trends into actionable business opportunities in collaboration with senior management, Product Development, Technical, and Factory Planning teams.
  5. Oversee compliance readiness, support buyer audits, and ensure all commercial commitments meet internal capabilities and standards.
  6. Act as the senior escalation point for all brand-level commercial decisions, balancing commercial ambition with operational feasibility.
  7. Drive disciplined execution, cross-functional alignment, and business governance to ensure sustainable growth and long-term customer confidence.


Job Duties

The Business Development Manager serves as the brand owner and commercial leader, responsible for driving revenue growth, customer acquisition, and long-term strategic partnerships. This role holds full accountability for buyer relationships, commercial strategy, pricing direction, and profitability, while ensuring all business commitments can be executed within the company’s global manufacturing capabilities.


Requirements

  • Strong commercial acumen and proven experience in business development within the apparel, fashion, or manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to guide, influence, and develop cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, customer management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate market insights into strategic business decisions.
  • High level of ownership, strategic judgment, and follow-through.
  • Strong understanding of costing, pricing, manufacturing processes, and T&A management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese (spoken and written).
