Job Responsibility
- The Factory Manager manage the overall factory operation and is responsible for
- The factory Efficiency, Quality, On time in full shipment and Profitability
- Operating the factory within Budget
- Company assets accountability.
- Set-up an efficient factory equipment layout and materials flow.
- Establish and comply with Factory rules and policies
- Establish and comply with manufacturing policies and procedures
- Establish 7S workplace (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety, Spirit) and a safe working environment
- Cultivating Lean thinking aims at removing wastes from work processes. The 8 wastes are Transportation, Inventory, Motion, Waiting, and Overproduction, Over-processing, Defects and Employee talent utilization.
- Implementing ERP as part of the company digital transformation journey.
Job Duties
- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day factory operations consist of: -Production Department job duties, -Quality Department job duties, -Office Department job duties, -Account & Payroll Department job duties.
- To establish a training and certifying program to qualify all employees before assigning them to their work duty.
- System a plan and strategy for the factory to be more systematic and organize
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives to streamline factory operations and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
- Allocate Human resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
- Ensure Total Preventive Maintenance program is in place, so as to perform maintenance on Equipment, Machinery and Tools to meet performance and safety requirements
- Establish and to ensure CSR and CT-Pat policies & procedures are in compliances to conduct normal business.
- Establish inhouse ERP systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
- To chair weekly factory management & shipment meeting and attend Pre-production meeting.
- Monitor operations: - trigger corrective actions, - Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
- Collect and analyse data to reduce waste or overtime and work on continuous improvement.
- To prepare and submit management reports to key decision-makers.
- To establish and manage incentive scheme, ensure incentive payment are paid according to the policy.
- To accept order with correct SMV and CM price in ERP in order to translate to accurate factory capacity loading.
- To look into complain, call-out and buyer charge back, work with Quality Assurance Manager and Production
- Manager to investigate the root cause, establish a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) to stop the mistake from
- reoccurring and submit to CAP to concern parties. Or in the event of unjustified complain, call-out and buyer charge back, to submit dispute to concern parties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Logistics, or related field.
- Passionate in the apparel industrial and with at least 10 years Apparel work experience or above.
- Effective communication skills with excellent spoken and written English, Chinese (Mandarin) is advantage
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a factory.
- Certification in Production and Inventory Management as well as Quality Control.
- Outstanding time management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Sound knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to multi-task in fast paced environment and work under tight deadlines.
- Business travelling is required.
